OFFICE ADMIN

Gough Recruitments receptionists are the first point of contact for any visitors to the office or anyone contacting Gough. They assist with the daily running of the business and offices and are your go-to for any admin/stationery/bookings etc.

FUN FACT: At Gough, our receptionists have often progressed to become talent managers, consultants and even regional directors.

TALENT

MANAGERS

Gough Recruitments talent managers source, screen and manage candidates for the consulting teams in Real Estate and Property. They also provide a range of administration and client management support services.They use tools such as job aggregators/job boards, LinkedIn, social media and existing database to source and attract candidates.

RECRUITMENT

CONSULTANTS

Gough's consultants manage and source for new clients. They identify client needs, and then with the talent managers support, source and refer quality candidates to clients.Relationship building in this role is crucial as we rely on Consultants to bring in jobs from clients to grow the business and reach monthly budgets. Consultants work closely with Regional Directors with a number of business support activities. Consultants recruit in specific sectors within our specialities.

The temp consultants are responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Temp desk. The temps are involved in identifying client needs and then sourcing and referring quality candidates to Property & Real Estate clients. This position works closely with the Talent Manager to source high calibre candidates working in the industry as well as new prospects moving into the industry.

Matthew's Career Story

Having just spent the past 13 years in Perth and having established a 7 ½ career in Real Estate, I knew I wanted to use my real estate knowledge in my next career but also move into a different sector. Both my wife and I moved to Melbourne and shortly after I was given an the opportunity to start on the Bayside & South East residential recruitment desk at Gough, which I have loved for the past 6 years. As Gough has grown over the years & we both have matured together there was an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and give back to the Residential Team as both a Director & mentor. I’m still recruiting in the Bayside & South East but the added responsibility has allowed me grow professionally and help assist the Melbourne team & their clients which I love the most!


Alicia's Career Story

I started at Gough as a Temp, to help out with admin and data entry, as a friend worked here and reached out to me. I didn’t even know what Recruitment was when I interviewed! A few months later I was promoted to a Talent Manager for the Residential Real estate team, sourcing candidates. Not long after that, promoted again to a Consultant position, looking after a portfolio of clients in the same team. After a couple of years, I was ready to take on more of a challenge, and transitioned into the Property team, which recruits for the more corporate, larger, and often ASX listed property groups. I sourced candidates across Retail, Commercial and Industrial for years in that team. For the past few years, I now manage my own portfolio of Property Clients, specialising in retail property. I think I have visited almost every shopping centre in Sydney by now and placed staff in most of them! It helps that I have a real interest in the industry, am fascinated at how Retail property is always changing and evolving, and I love hearing people in the industry tell me their stories and experiences.
